Certificate III Cabinet Making | Certificate I Construction 

Ever since Derek was little he’s always wanted to build furniture! So, when it came to choosing a career path later in life he didn’t have any problems choosing which trade to pursue – Cabinet Making. Dereck is one of Eternity Joinery’s Qualified Cabinet Maker tradesmen and has been in the industry for a little over 4 years now.

Derek is responsible for working with our team on building production work in the factory including cutting, measuring and constructing cabinetry for our full house project fit outs and bespoke furniture manufacturing.

Moving from New Zealand when he was just 18 years old, he chose the beautiful Sunshine Coast as the place he and his family wanted to call home. When Derek has some free time he’s a big lover of sports and enjoys watching a good game of footy and UFC.

But that’s only when he has some free time, as a busy dad of two youngsters, he’s got his hands full most weekends taking them out and about on the Sunshine Coast with his wife, Shavez.
